Most of you know that our most recent foster kids have gone to live with a family member, which means that we have said hello and good-bye to FIVE foster kids in FIVE weeks because every time kids are placed with us, their amazing grandparents and aunts and uncles have stepped forward to help. How are Daniel and I dealing with all of this? We're a little crazy. It's impossible to adjust to a situation that is constantly changing, but we're happy we got to meet these great kids. It's hard not to hope for a long-term placement, though, even six months or a year, so we can settle into some kind of normalcy.
Of course, when you're in the midst of all this chaos, your house-cleaning schedule gets lost in a stack of foster care paperwork, you forget that you have a Facebook, and your writing goal for the day becomes a sentence crayoned on the back of an envelope while your other hand mixes formula. So in the last few days, I've been catching up in all of those areas. Especially Facebook.
How is your real life going?
